Tool Placement in Tool Transfer

Select Tool This button opens the virtual Tool Wall form that lets you select the tool you want to transfer to your machine. Repeat this action as many times as you need tools. Select Tool

Clicking this button lets you install a “Non System Tool”. You can upload the offsets for this tool and it is shown as “NST” in the tool list.

Send Offsets After you placed and (or) removed all the tools you have to set up according to your Set-Up-List, click the NEXT button.

Offset Location The location of a “Non-System-Tool” can be changed at will. However the location number has to be higher than the available tool changer pockets of the machine. If the machine has 20 pockets, the offset number has to be 21 or higher.

The Timer Started

Smart Tool work is timed. The timer will keep running until the clock is reset. This has the advantage that the running time of multiple tasks are added together. At the end the total work time can be logged.

Some operators prefer to remove all the tools from a machine before setting up for a new job. In this case don’t select each tool individually. In “Settings” is a button that will remove all tools from a selected machine and will set all Work Offsets to zero.
